  • Day 01: Full day plan

    Start your day early with a drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot, a hill-station on the outskirts of the city. Once at Nagarkot, climb a small ridge to reach a local viewpoint and enjoy the beautiful sunrise. From here, you’ll get breathtaking views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Langtang, and Everest mountain ranges. On clear days, you may even see Mt. Everest (8848m). Take some time to capture photos of the stunning scenery.

    After soaking in the views, head to a nearby restaurant for breakfast. Then, gear up for a 3-4 hour hike from Nagarkot to Changunarayan. Descend through terraced farmlands, small settlements, and lush forests. Along the way, you’ll pass through a Tamang village and take a brief rest in Telkot village.

    Continue the trek until you reach Changunarayan Temple, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Perched atop a hill named Changu or Dolagiri, this temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and attracts thousands of pilgrims every year.

    After exploring the temple and its surroundings, it’s time to head back to Kathmandu. Retrace your path and drive through Araniko Highway to reach your hotel. You can then relax and spend the rest of the day as you wish.
