Bardia National Park Tour

The Bardia National Park is a beautiful place in Nepal where you can see amazing animals like Bengal Tigers and one-horned rhinoceroses. The park has a mix of plants and animals that will make you feel very excited and happy. This tour starts in Kathmandu where you’ll meet our guides and learn about the trip. Then, you’ll take a flight to Nepalgunj, a busy town. When you arrive, you’ll explore Nepalgunj before heading to Bardia National Park. The park is big and has rivers called Geruwa and Karnali around it.

During the tour, you’ll see many animals like langurs, sloth bears, and deer. You can even ride on an elephant and give them bananas and fruit. You’ll also go canoeing in the Geruwa River and might see dolphins and crocodiles. The park has lots of plants and trees, and you might see some birds that are visiting for a short time. You’ll taste some delicious food from Terai, a nearby area, before going back to Nepalgunj and then flying back to Kathmandu to end the trip.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

    When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be there to greet you. They will take you to your hotel. At the hotel, you’ll meet the other members of the tour and the people in charge. They will give you information about the tour. You’ll spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. Drive to Bardia National Park via Kohalpur

    Wake up early in the morning and go to the airport for your flight to Nepalgunj. The flight takes about an hour and you’ll see beautiful snowy mountains turn into flat plains during the journey. When you arrive in Nepalgunj, it will be very hot. Gather your belongings and head to Bardia National Park. We’ll take the route through Kohalpur. Unlike Kathmandu, this area is flat with no hills in sight, just plains everywhere. In the evening, you can enjoy a cultural dance performed by the Tharu people, who are the indigenous group living in the Terai plains. You’ll spend the night at Bardia National Park.

  • Day 03: Full day exploration of Bardia National Park

    Today, we’ll explore Bardia National Park, which was established in 1998 and covers a large area of 968 square kilometers. The park is quite humid and filled with green trees all around. About 70% of the park is covered with grasslands and forests along the rivers. We have the option to go on a jungle safari or explore the forest on foot. The park is home to many plants and animals, with around 839 species of plants and 642 species of animals. You can enjoy the beauty of the Karnali River and experience the peacefulness of walking through the forest. We’ll spend the night near the park.

  • Day 04: Half day exploration of the Bardia National Park and drive back to Nepalgunj

    Today, we’ll continue exploring the vast Bardia National Park. We’ll venture deeper into the park in search of rare animals like the Bengal tiger and one-horned rhinoceros. Thanks to recent conservation efforts, the tiger population is increasing. You can also enjoy a fun elephant ride and even bathe with these gentle giants. After having lunch in the park, we’ll return to Nepalgunj, either by private or public vehicle. Once we arrive in Nepalgunj, we’ll check into our hotel for the night.

  • Day 05: Fly back to Kathmandu

    Today, we’ll book a flight back to Kathmandu, although the timing may vary slightly. The flight lasts for about an hour, giving us a chance to enjoy the views along the way. Once we arrive in Kathmandu, you can start making preparations for your onward journey or consider extending your stay in the country if you wish. We’ll spend the night at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 06: Departure

    Today marks the end of your time in Kathmandu. Our representative will accompany you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. Safe travels!
