Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)
Once you land at TIA (Tribhuban International Airport), a staff member from our company will take you to the hotel where you’ll be staying for the trip. You can take some time to relax and freshen up at the hotel. Later, you’ll join a meeting with our team to learn about the trek ahead. Then, you’ll spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
Discover the famous UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley. First, visit Swyambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. Then, explore Pashupatinath and Boudhanath, marveling at their stunning architecture. Don’t forget to explore Kathmandu Durbar Square. After your tour, head back to your hotel. You can use the rest of the day to prepare for your upcoming trek. Spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 : Fly from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur and Drive to Taplejung (1820m) 45 min flight & 9 hours' drive
We start our journey by taking an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur. It’s warmer here than in Kathmandu, so be prepared. From Bhadrapur, we embark on a long drive to Taplejung. You can choose to travel by private or public vehicle. Once we reach Taplejung, we’ll check into our hotel and rest for the night.

Day 04 : Taplejung to Lalikharka (2265m) 3 - 4 hours trek
Today, we’ll be trekking for about 5 hours, enjoying stunning views of snowy mountains and hills along the way. We’ll trek through lush green forests until we reach Lalikharka. Passing by several small settlements and Deurali, we’ll make our way to the Deurali Pass at 2600 meters. Then, we’ll gradually descend to Lalikharka where we’ll spend the night.

Day 05 : Lalikharka to Khesewa (2120m) 5 - 6 hours trek

Day 06 : Khesewa to Mamankhe (1785m) 5 - 6 hours trek
We start our trek towards Mamankhe, following the trail along the banks of the Kabeli Khola. As we walk, we enjoy the sight of the sparkling river and pass through lush forests. Along the way, we come across a small stream that we cross before continuing our journey through small Himalayan villages, soaking in the peaceful countryside scenery. After trekking through Sudap and Pauwa, we finally reach Mamankhe, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 07 : Mamankhe to Yamphudin (2080m) 4 - 5 hours
As we continue our trek, the path gradually becomes steeper, and we’ll spend most of the day walking alongside the Kabeli Khola. Along the way, we’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the surrounding ridges, and we might even have the chance to freshen up under a waterfall. We’ll cross several suspension bridges and stop for lunch by the riverbank. Eventually, we’ll reach Yamphudin, where we’ll have some time to explore the village before settling in for the night.

Day 08 : Yamphudin to Tortong (2995m) 7 - 8 hours
We follow a path bustling with people, passing through terraced fields and lush meadows. With the majestic Himalayas by our side, we trek along the banks of the Amji Khola river. Along the way, we’ll pause briefly at Lasiya Bhanjyang before continuing on to Tortong, which is just a few hours away. We’ll spend the night in Tortong.

Day 09 : Tortong to Cheram (3870m) 6 - 7 hours
After breakfast, we start our uphill journey towards Cheram. Following the trail on the right side of the Simbuwa Khola, we’ll be treated to stunning views of the Lalung valley and the Tuplung peak (4488m) in the distance. Along the way, we’ll pass through lush rhododendron forests and admire the grandeur of the Yalung glacier. We’ll spend the night in Cheram.

Day 10 : Cheram Acclimatization and Rest
We have a day set aside for acclimatization, so we’ll take it easy and do some light hiking. We’ll explore the area around the village and chat with the local people. If we have enough time, we can take a leisurely walk near the Yalung glacier. The scenery around us will be beautiful and comforting throughout the hike. We’ll spend another night in Cheram.

Day 11 : Cheram to Ramche (4580m) 3 – 4 hours
Today, we’ll walk along the trail next to the Yalung glacier. There will be some challenging uphill sections, but the trail is also very exciting. We’ll have the opportunity to see various local wildlife along the way, which adds to the adventure. We’ll enjoy the breathtaking views of many Himalayan peaks and stop for lunch in the Lapsang village. Afterwards, we’ll continue on to Ramche, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 12 : Ramche to Yalung Base Camp (4500m), back to Cheram 6 - 7 hours
Starting from Ramche, we’ll walk along a winding trail next to a stream. We’ll climb up to the top of a moraine, where we’ll get a view of the southern face of Kanchenjunga. As we continue, we’ll see the Januu Himal (7711m) and further ahead is the Octang monastery. We’ll keep going until we reach the Yalung Base Camp, where we can see peaks like Kumbakarna (Januu|7711m), Nyukla Lachung (6670m), and others. After taking in the sights, we’ll return to Cheram for the night.

Day 13 : Cheram to Sele La (4260m) 6 - 7 hours
Today, we’ll be crossing several passes, starting with Sinelapche Bhanjyang. Then, we’ll make our way towards the Simon La pass. The views from these passes are stunning. When we reach Sele La Pass (4480m), we’ll see colorful Chorten flags waving in the breeze. After that, we’ll follow a steeper path until we arrive at Sele La in the evening. We’ll spend the night there.

Day 14 : Sele La to Ghunsa (3427m) 5 - 6 hours
After breakfast, we start our journey northward. Along the way, we’ll notice Tanbharma Danda and follow the prayer flags towards Ghunsa. The path leads us downhill through forests filled with rhododendrons, pine, and birch trees until we reach Ghunsa. It’s a small village with mud houses and colorful Buddhist prayer flags. We’ll spend the night there.

Day 15 : Ghunsa to Kambachen (4050m) 6 - 7 hours
We continue our journey northward along the riverbank, enjoying breathtaking mountain views along the way. Passing through fields of wildflowers, dense pine forests, and birch trees, we make our way forward. We cross Rampuk Kharka and navigate past a waterfall, being careful to avoid any landslides. Throughout the trek, we’re treated to stunning vistas of Mt. Januu (7711m). Finally, as the evening approaches, we reach Kambachen, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 16 : Kambachen to Lhonak (4,780m) 6 - 7 hours
Today, we begin our journey early as we’ll be tackling a challenging trail. The path takes us through rocky terrain, scattered with large boulders. Along the way, we encounter several waterfalls and cross a bridge. Eventually, we reach the Ramtang monastery. Continuing on, we navigate through more rocky terrain, following alongside the Kanchenjunga Glacier until we finally reach our destination for the day, Lhonak. We’ll spend the night here.

Day 17 : Kanchenjunga base camp, overnight at Pangpema (5,143m) 6 - 7 hours
Starting from Lhonak, we follow a trail leading to the Kanchenjunga Base Camp, which is located beside the Kanchenjunga Glacier. Along the way, we pass Pangpema before descending to the base camp. Upon arrival, we are greeted by numerous tents set up in the area. From the base camp, we are treated to breathtaking views of mountains such as Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m) and Januu Himal (7711m), along with other peaks. After setting up our camp, we take the time to explore the beautiful surroundings. We’ll spend the night at Pangpema.

Day 18 : Pangpema to Lhonak (4780m) 3 – 4 hours
We go back the same way we came from Pangpema to Lhonak. The trail might have snow and rocks, so we need to be careful while walking. Our guide will help us stay safe. We’ll take a few short breaks along the way, enjoying the stunning views of the Himalayas throughout the trek. We’ll spend the night at Lhonak.

Day 19 : Lhonak to Ghunsa (3427m) 6 - 7 hours
From Lhonak, we’ll trek back to Ghunsa through Kambachen. Along the way, we’ll stop in Kambachen to meet the local people and enjoy our lunch. These villages are strongly influenced by Tibetan-Buddhist culture, and we can learn more about it from the locals. After lunch, we’ll continue our trek downhill to Ghunsa, where we’ll stay for the night.

Day 20 : Ghunsa to Amjilosa (2395m) 5 - 6 hours
From Ghunsa, we’ll trek downhill to Phale. Along the way, we’ll pass many Mani walls and monasteries, and trek through juniper forests until we reach Phale. After a short descent, we’ll continue to Gyabla, where we’ll cross the Chhundarangka Khola and see nearby waterfalls. Crossing the Sumbung Khola, we’ll notice swaying Chortens, indicating our arrival in Amjilosa, where we’ll spend the night.

Day 21 : Amjilosa to Chirwa (1270m) 6 - 7 hours
We start our journey with a refreshing waterfall along the road, then continue to the settlement of Solima. Crossing the Ghunsa Khola, we take a break at Sukethum village. Walking along the Ghunsa Khola, we relax by the banks of the Tamor River and enjoy some snacks. Finally, we reach Chirwa village, where we savor delicious local cuisine and spend the night.

Day 22 : Chirwa to Taplejung (1820m) via Mitlung 7 - 8 hours trek
After a pleasant stay in Chirwa, we continue our journey towards Taplejung. Along the way, we encounter small children and settlements bustling with daily activities. Passing through Sinwa, we cross the Sisne River and proceed to Mitlung. It takes a couple of hours from Mitlung to reach Taplejung, and the trail is enjoyable. We spend the night at Mitlung.

Day 23 : Taplejung to Bhadrapur |9 hours' drive
We travel to Bhadrapur either by private or public vehicle, making several stops along the way due to the long journey. The road winds through the typical twists and turns of a Nepali highway. Once we reach Bhadrapur, we check into our hotel. Here, we can enjoy the warmth of the city after spending over two weeks in the chilly Kanchenjunga region. We spend the night in Bhadrapur.

Day 24 : Fly to Kathmandu and Farewell Dinner
Wake up early and catch a flight back to Kathmandu. When you arrive in Kathmandu, our team will take you to your hotel. You can spend the day relaxing at the hotel or treat yourself to a massage at one of the wellness centers in the valley. In the evening, join us and the rest of the trekking group for a farewell dinner hosted by Mountain Trail Nepal. You’ll spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 25: Final departure
Today marks your last day in Nepal. Our representative will accompany you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.

What are the visa requirements?
Currently, all the foreign nationalities (except Indians) require a visa to enter Nepal. Visas are obtainable from embassies abroad or on arrival at Kathmandu’s Airport. If getting the visa at the airport be prepared for long queues. You will also need to provide one passport photo and the $50 USD fee for 30 days.

What are the physical requirements for Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek?
Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek requires you to trek at an altitude of maximum 5143m and up to 5-7 hours per day, with a small 5-7kg bag. We recommended you to train with long hikes and/or a sport of your choice (e.g. jogging).

How old do I need to be?
There is no age restriction for doing this trip, but if you are under 16 it will better to trek with your parents. You must be health-conscious during the trek.

What is the accommodation like?
You will stay in the Hotel while you are in the city of Kathmandu, which is like a 3-star category. The hotel has access to showers and intermittent internet.
But while you are in trekking Tea House/lodges are the place where you spend the night during the trek, which is very basic. The room is pretty small with twin sharing and a common washroom. Some places have squat style toilets, whilst others have a western style. Shower does not always offer warm water and most teahouses will charge you for use of a hot shower.

Which meals are included?
Meals will be served as per the menu of the teahouse/lodges. Where you can find a variety of dishes like Indian, Nepalese, Tibetan, Continental, etc, to choose. Tea, coffee, bakery items, snacks, bars eggs, etc can also be found easily.

What currency should I take?
The currency used in Nepal is Nepalese Rupees (NPR). You are unable to get NPR outside of Nepal and therefore you will need to exchange money in Kathmandu. The easiest currency to exchange is USD and Euro. You can also withdraw NPR from the ATM but check with your bank about the relevant charges to do this.

What kind of problems can arise at a higher altitude during Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek?
There is huge change of AMS problem i.e. Acute Mountain Sickness problem. It may cause some problem as you trek higher above 3500 meter altitude (11,482 ft.). But don’t worry about that. We have carefully designed our Kanchenjunga Circuit itinerary with sufficient time for acclimatization and less walking time each day. And our experienced trek guide will be helping you with it.

Yes, you need to be insured before the adventure trekking in Nepal from your home country. However we will be always with you taking care of throughout the whole Kanchenjunga Circuit trek.

What is the best time of year for Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek?
Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek is possible for whole year, but the best time to doing this trek is spring season (March to June) and autumn Season (September to November).
However trekking in winter season to chance to see snowfall with magnificent views of mountain, and in monsoon time you will see waterfalls.
